We are now officially a bit more than halfway through the 2019 season, unbelievably. It seems there are 82 days behind and 77 days ahead (but who’s counting) until closing day, October 28. To say it doesn’t seem possible is an understatement. There is so much planning and excitement (and stress!) that goes into the off-season preparing for “The Season” that once we actually open it’s almost anticlimactic

So here we are, opening day behind us, Memorial Day weekend behind us, July 4th behind us, and voilà, the season is in full swing! We’re back in the rhythm of welcoming guests and saying goodbye as they check out. It is so satisfying welcoming return guests that just can’t get enough of this place.

Sister Bay is a very busy place in summer! As if just your everyday tourist activities weren’t enough, we also throw some interesting festivals into the mix just to keep it exciting.

Well, the SEASON has begun, if not the SUMMER. It’s been chilly in Door County! Today is positively glorious, with bright blue skies and warm sunshine, but at only 60° it hardly seems like summer!

Door County is undeniably one of the most beautiful destinations in the country. The onset of spring just
intensifies that beauty, embroidering it with fresh new growth everywhere we look. There is still a chill
in the air most days, but we’re enjoying more and more days of warm sunshine. Birds are chirping and
bulbs are peeking through the soil, and in Door County there’s an air of anticipation as the 2019 season
quickly approaches!
